WHAT AIRPORT SHOULD I FLY INTO?

Fly into George (GRJ) Airport. You can get a short connecting flight from Cape Town or Johannesburg.

Departure Airport is Port Elizabeth (Chief Dawid Stuurman) Airport. You can get a short connecting flight to Cape Town or Johannesburg.

HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE ON THE TRIP?

There will be a maximum of 12 Participants on this trip.

PAYMENT

A 50% deposit is required to confirm placements. Full paymentย is due no later thanย 30 days prior to departure.ย 

TRIP CONFIRMATION

Your trip will be officially confirmed once 70% of spots are booked.Please only book your flights once your trip has been officially confirmed as we cannot offer refunds for this.

If Minimum Spots Are Not Reached
If we are unable to fill at least 70% of the available spots, the trip will be cancelled. In this case, you will receive a full refund, including any deposit paid.

Itinerary

DAY ONE

Pick up at George Airport (GRJ): Receive a warm welcome from the Odyssey team and enjoy a seamless transfer to your cozy accommodation.


Orientation Session: Meet your fellow adventurers and the expert guides who will
accompany you on this transformative journey. Get an in-depth briefing on the weekโ€™s
highlights and conservation-focused activities.

Welcome Dinner: Delight in a sumptuous South African-inspired meal, while your hosts
share captivating stories and insights about the regionโ€™s wildlife and conservation efforts.

DAY TWO

Enjoy breakfast at the accommodation before being picked up by your guide for the dayโ€™s excursion.

We will then be going on a Morning Game Drive. Venture into a private game reserve for an exclusive safari experience. Encounter South Africaโ€™s iconic wildlife, including elephants, lions, rhinos, and
giraffes, all in their natural habitats.

We will have an interactive lunch at a Reserve Lodge: Savor authentic South African cuisine while engaging in enriching discussions with conservation experts about the challenges and triumphs of protecting wildlife.

You will then have some free time to relax, unwind beforeย 
a delicious dinner at the reserve.ย 

DAY THREE

7:30AM- Breakfast
9:00AM – Pick up at accommodation
10:00AM-11:30AM- Seal Island Excursion: Set out on a guided boat trip to observe vibrant seal
colonies, whales, playful dolphins, and a host of other marine life. Learn about marine
conservation efforts in the region.
13:00PM-14:30PM- Point of Human Origins Walk: Journey back in time with an archaeologist as
you explore ancient caves and fossil sites that shed light on early human evolution.

DAY FOUR

Breakfast
Begin the day with breakfast before setting off.

Depart Accommodation
Journey toward Addo Elephant National Park on a scenic 6โ€“7 hour drive through South Africaโ€™s diverse landscapes, with a packed lunch enjoyed along the way.

Evening at Leisure
Take time to relax and prepare for the safari adventures ahead.

Dinner
Conclude the day with a delicious dinner in a peaceful setting.

DAY FIVE

Breakfast
Start the morning with a hearty meal before heading out for an unforgettable safari experience.

Morning Safari
Embark on a guided game drive through Addo Elephant National Park. Spot majestic elephants, playful zebras, stealthy lions, and a variety of other incredible wildlife in their natural environment.

Bush Refreshments
Pause mid-morning to enjoy traditional South African tea, coffee, and rusks while taking in the tranquility of the bush.

Traditional Braai Lunch
Savor a classic South African braai, complete with grilled meats, fresh salads, regional specialties, and your choice of wine, beer, or juice.

Afternoon Safari
Return to the reserve for another game drive, with more opportunities to photograph and appreciate the diverse wildlife and sweeping landscapes of Addo.

DAY SIX

Depart Hotel
Travel to Shamwari Private Game Reserve, one of South Africaโ€™s most renowned conservation destinations.

Orientation Game Drive
Begin your journey with a game drive through the reserve, making your way to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.

Behind-the-Scenes Conservation Experience
Spend the day immersed in conservation activities, gaining unique insights into the care and protection of South Africaโ€™s wildlife. Learn directly from experts as you witness the important work being done to preserve endangered species and habitats.

Depart Shamwari
Leave the reserve with a deeper understanding of conservation and its vital role in protecting biodiversity.

Dinner

DAY SEVEN

Breakfast
Enjoy a final breakfast together, savoring the last moments of your South African adventure.
